10th WOF WINTER HYBRID (TIRAZIS) OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2026: A Long-Standing Sporting Event with an International Outlook
October 30, 2026 | Hamedan
The 10th TIRAZIS WINTER HYBRID OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 is scheduled to take place during the third week of December 2026, coinciding with the anniversary of the establishment of the World O-Sport Federation (WOF).
The championship will be hosted by the O-Sport Association of the Islamic Republic of Iran (OSAIRI) in cooperation with the Manouchehri Sports & Tourism Complex, operating under the brand MANOUCHEHRI PRO.
With a history dating back to 2014, the TIRAZIS championship has become a recurring feature of the Manouchehri complex’s winter sports programme. The event aims to promote sporting competition, identify athletic talent, encourage performance development, and strengthen international sporting connections.
A Sporting Tradition Since 2014
The TIRAZIS Winter Hybrid Open Championship has been held annually since 2014. However, the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted the event during the period from 2020 to 2022. Following this interruption, the championship resumed in 2023 and continued in 2024 and 2025, with its tenth edition scheduled for 2026.
The continuation of the event despite the pandemic-related interruption reflects the organisers’ efforts to maintain a recurring sporting platform and develop its competitive and international potential.
International Participation and the O-Sport National Network
According to information provided by the organisers, athletes from Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Russia have participated in previous editions of the TIRAZIS championship.
The organisers state that these countries have national O-Sport federations or associations affiliated with the World O-Sport Federation (WOF).
The institutional status and funding arrangements of these national organisations vary. According to the information provided, some receive official recognition or institutional support at the national level and obtain government funding through their respective National Olympic Committees or sports ministries. Others operate without government funding and receive financial assistance from the World O-Sport Federation to support some of their activities.
This network of national organisations offers opportunities to strengthen sporting relationships, exchange experience, expand competitive opportunities, and develop regional cooperation. Within this framework, the TIRAZIS championship provides a platform for athletes from different countries to compete and connect with one another.
TIRAZIS Champions and Record Holders
Athletes in both the women’s and men’s divisions have earned championship titles throughout the event’s previous editions. The following list is based on historical records provided by the organisers.

These athletes form an important part of the TIRAZIS championship’s competitive history. Recognising previous champions honours their sporting achievements, documents the event’s history, and helps preserve its identity for future editions.
Cash Prizes and Support for Outstanding Athletes
The TIRAZIS championship has awarded a cash prize of US$2,000 to the first-place finisher in the women’s division and US$2,000 to the first-place finisher in the men’s division. Championship medals are also awarded to top-performing athletes.
These cash prizes recognise sporting achievement, encourage competitive performance, and reinforce the importance of athlete development within the event.
Previous editions have also received support from private-sector organisations, including Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO), and the Red Crescent Society, the Humanitarian Games and the Manouchehri Agro-Industrial Complex, which is active in agricultural production, particularly walnuts.
Cooperation between sporting organisations and private-sector partners can contribute to financial sustainability, improve event delivery, and create further opportunities for the development of the championship.
Looking Ahead to the Tenth Edition
The 10th TIRAZIS Winter Hybrid Open Championship in 2026 will provide an opportunity to continue the event’s sporting tradition, introduce new champions, and strengthen connections among athletes and sporting organisations from different countries.
Its timing alongside the anniversary of the establishment of the World O-Sport Federation highlights the role of international engagement and cooperation between sporting organisations.
OSAIRI, in cooperation with the Manouchehri Sports & Tourism Complex, aims to build on the experience of previous editions while further developing the championship’s sporting and international potential.
